Queen Historical Documents now online

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Queen Historical Documents now online

Post by Keystone »

Queen has posted an extensive set of historical documents on their website.

Check out:
http://www.queencutlery.com/Historical_Documents.html

Right now there are 179 page images of Queen Catalogs from the period 1980 - 2013, covering all but 2 years. Every knife has been entered into a spreadsheet database, so there are also 130 reports that summarize every series Queen offered in this period, and What knives have been made under each model number in that time. This information on catalog knives has never been compiled before (although thanks to some volunteers there have been earlier lists of Schatt & Morgan, File & Wire, and Rawhide ( thanks!), this new effort is comprehensive and the database when downloaded allows you to personalize your own collection or wish list.

Secondly many, hundreds of fine color photographs of Queen knives from 1922-1980 have also been added. This collection is based on the Jim Sargent 2008, 7th edition, the best print summary of Queen knives from the traditional period. Each knife is shown by model number, tang stamp and steel are identified. A great resource!

These are Beta versions and will be refined as feedback from collectors comes in. Please look at these materials and tell us what you think. We will continue to support and expand this new resource for Queen collectors. Join in!

Thanks,
Learning, Not ignorance, is bliss.
