Alabama Damascus heat treating

Anyone out there heat treating Alabama Damascus with a kiln? I can't seem to get consistent results . What's your recipe? Thanks

I am not doing any heat treating except trying to treat myself to avoid heat stroke. I can't help you, but welcome to the Forum.

Welcome to AAPK!
I don't have any way to heat treat in my shop.
I know several guys who will do it, so I just pay them to do the heat treating.

1500 for 10 minutes soak
Quench in fast oil
Temper 375

I just did a few Alabama Damascus blades.
1500 deg F. and held for 2 min. and then immediately quenched in peanut oil. Temper at 400 deg F. 1 hr x 2.
This is my first try at this but what I found as a decent method through various searches.
Here is what they look like out of the quench after a little steel wool cleaning.
