The Red smooth bone handled knife has a late 1970's main blade.
The Black Saw-cut handled knife has a very early 1960's main blade - and a strange shield.
Note: The fine match-strike pull used on the first Old Timers.
I have never seen Schrade 8OTs like these two before, maybe they were made up with odd parts.
Has anyone ever seen 8OT Old Timers like these two.

Ken.
I like both of them.( Love red bone)
The only Old Timer shield that shape but smaller is on the Ulster Old Timer 114OT Utility or camp Knife.

Grant, is your early 8OT a bone early 1960's one.
Did you have a good look at the match-strike pull on the Black knife.
All of these knives belong to a collector in New Zealand.
I like all of them...
The top knife has the wrong main blade... Ken

Ken I have a black handle 8OT. It's not a real good picture. The only different to the bone knife is the pull is deeper in the bone's bladekoldgold wrote:Grant, is your early 8OT a bone early 1960's one.

Some off the knives look similar to Herman Williams work.
Dale might have a better idea.
