WHAT TA DO???????? OLDIE ULSTER

Post by junebug »

HEY FELLERS!!!!!

WAS WONDERIN'............??? ::shrug::

KEEP AS IS,& USE A DIFFERENT DONOR KNIFE???.......... OR SEND OFF AS INTENDED????

BACK STORY:
I got this knife and had an idea,that a TL-29 would be cool modded into a GUNSTOCK JACK type knife....
so i contacted GLENBAD again.....as i have one of his GLENafied TL's already and really dig it 8)
i was ready to send it off and was making sketches and drawings which LOOKED off to me....so i went out into garage and CAREFULLY filed/sanded down the liners to LOOK gun stock - ish........so he could kinda see ma vision ::facepalm::
well........ NOW I KINDA LIKE THIS ONE AS IS,LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

TOSS UP REALLY........ SO QUESTION TO MA FRIENDS HERE........ SEND OFF THIS ONE OR KEEP AND GET A DIFF DONOR?????

DOES IT LOOK HOKEY?????

my idea for glenn would add a bottom bolster, and have his FLAIR ::nod::
AND blade was to be a wharnie,but this one is already short which will make it even shorter when he is done.... ::shrug:: i wanted to leave screwdriver ::tu::

WHATCHA THINK???

Hmmm. It don't look bad as is. If you like the shape, feel, etc.... and you like the screwdriver, I say let it ride and send Glenn another one.

As to the short blade, since it's a tad short, why not just file down the end just a tad and turn it into a sheepsfoot? I bet it'd work good.

I got to go along with Dimitri. Looks to be WWII vintage. There are a lot of cheap electrician's knives on Ebay that would be a better candidate for conversion. JMO.

I'm not fond of gunstocks, so...................... (I guess I should have kept my tater trap shut.)
