A Few Gems from 2014

This year has been a good one for me, picking up a few 'hard to find' Schrade knives.
1. A couple of nice Barnette's:-The green one many thanks to Tom Chase. It is a cracker Tom.
2. A very nice mint Kious, with all the tricks.
3. Damascus-LB-5DM, in a very nice box, but the liner will have to be replaced. I believe that Schrade only made 2 Damascus knives, so am very happy to have both.
4. Schrade~Loveless. A most magnificent knife, which has taken me forever to acquire.
5. Pintail Duck. He sits proudly on my shelf
6. Old Timer, Red Bone Knives, 1 of 2,400(supposedly, but i doubt it). Beautiful solid hinged case, but once again the inside liner has perished. This seems to be a common problem with this type of liner.
7. Pearl Harbour, Sabre Bowie. These are exquisite knives, and a pleasure to own.
8. The "coups de grace". A TL-29 rebuild by Dale Vincent. I was blown away with the result Dale achieved, from a mud drawing. He had to do a lot of reinventing to overcome some of the obstacles that were presented to him. It will always be 'numero uno' in my collection Dale...many thanks my friend.
I hope you guys and gals out there get some joy from seeing some of my 2014 collection, i know i will.

Really quite a haul of some amazing items. Thanks for sharing. I am especially intrigued with the Ulster. I don't quite understand what I am seeing. It looks like an electrician blade in a 2 OT, re-stamped and turned EZ open. What did the original look like, please? Pretty please?

Hi Tougueriver,

The original knife was a garden variety Ulster TL-29 with white handles(a bit unusual). I asked Dale to remodel it with a Schrade 2ot in mind, with a few other inclusions that were important to me.
Dale had all sorts of problems with this one, that he hadn't encounted before, but with his vast knowledge and ingenuity, was able to overcome all these obstacles.
Dale actually did a very detailed account of the whole process, with plenty of pics, on AAPK. I have this thread at home, which I can send you at a later date, as I am away for Christmas at the moment. That man is a genius.
