Maybe a pre 1920 Baloon Jack

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Maybe a pre 1920 Baloon Jack

Post by Mossdancer »

I suspect this old fella to be before 1920. Well loved for near or over a hundred years. The bone feels like petrified honey. The stamp on secondary is what leads me to think well before 1920. Regardless I am doing a test auction so I would appreciate some feedback with your thoughts.

That tang stamp was used in the 1905 - 1914 time frame.

For any and all interested a collected 100 year old tang stamp is worth evidently between 45 and 50 dollars,
