Kabar Barlow with water buffalo horn handles

Post by orvet »

This Barlow has been setting in my shop since my knee surgery, I just needed to etch my logo on the bolsters I did get it a little crooked I think and take pics so I could post it.

I like working with water buffalo horn. This was jigged in an impala pattern, and wasn't done as well as other impala jigged horn I have used.
It should make someone a nice user though.

Awesome work Dale!! I like the custom bolster. Are materials like Buffalo Horn/Rams Horn difficult to shape?

That's plumb cool Dale! I like it.

They are not hard to work with you just gave to get use to the burning hair smell when you cut or sand them.

Are those bolsters brass or copper? Maybe it's just a trick of light.

Looks great regardless!

Those are indoor pics and it always messes with the light, especially for me. ::facepalm::
The bolsters are steel.
