Look for Information on Schrade Heritage and I*XL Displays

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Look for Information on Schrade Heritage and I*XL Displays

Post by Woodtreker »

I am selling a few of my Schrade Collection from the 1980's... It has been awhile since I have been in the collecting side but have always loved the old Schrade knives and the older German Bokers... I especially love the Barlow knife style. I had been saving them for retirement is here it is... but hard to think about...

The first two I am thinking on parting with are from the Schrade Collection... Ideas on pricing?

First set:
I have a wooden case of the Heritage Collection in awesome condition... with the 7801, 8041, 2941, 8801, 2661, and 8341. The case is still in top condition and the knives have never been removed...

Second Set:
This set will really be hard to part with but I have a case set of the Schrade I*XL Cutlery Geo. Wostenholm &Son Sheffield England. It includes the BS-20 Genuine Bone Lockback ($59.99) (original prices) GS-30 Genuine Staghorn Lockback Leather Sheath ($69.95), M40 Ivory Micarta Lockback Leather Sheath ($79.95), BS-60 Genuine Bone ($39.95), GS-50 Genuine Staghorn ($49.95) (I am sure there are no sheaths in the display case... The knives are serialized on the bolster MI627 and stamped on the butt with SW?0.

Thanks,
Woodtreker

Great sets there....too bad you are selling them! I have two of the Heritage sets as well as the IXL, otherwise we'd be talking.

Both sets set at approx $275 with the IXL a little higher...that's what I have seen in the past anyway.

You may want to repost these in the Trade and/or advertisement threads!
Good luck
