Queen #22..something does not add up...

Here is a #22 I bought at an estate sale.
The tang is stamped with "Queen cut. Co." Semi-circled over "Titusville, pa".
I cannot find a matching tang stamp for the chart of Queen tang stamps I found in this forum.
Can someone please fill me in?

Queen started using that arched tang stamp circa mid to late 90's on some knives with 420HC blades.

That knife has odd handles - I'm guessing that it was a small run that Queen did to use up leftover parts (they did quite a bit of that in the 90's).

The last years that Queen offered those barlows as a standard catalog knife they were made with smooth black handles. that was also late 90's IIRC.

I agree with Mr. Knifaholic - looks like special edition in 1990-1996. I believe this tang stamp is shown in Queen tang stamp fold-out guide. That guide is getting quite dated now, and Queen is becoming much more flexible in using stamps requested by a special order or in limited editions (see all the Queen City stamps that are now available). Depending on how unlucky the person who left this in their estate, and the bright yellow pick bone (reminds me of some Moore maker versions) this could easily be a newer knife as well. I am becoming much less confident of precisely dating a knife by just its tang stamp. You have a nice knife, IMO.

Queen is using this imitation jig bone on some of their workhorse knives.It shur is yeller.
