A change of Pace

Post by muskrat man »

Here's a change of pace, something I have never done before but have wanted to do for a while. A straight razor from scratch! Finished it up this morning.

thanks for the comments guys.

Shaves good Kelley :D

what really caught peoples attention is it is only 3/32" thick in the spine, flatground to a zero edge. I posted it on a straight razor forum and already have people wanting to buy them ::shrug::

Beautiful. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!. Such flowing lines. Like a Barbie Doll! A magnificent piece of wood, too. Tigerwood? Also....if you wouldn't mind sharing some info, what knid of steel, and is is is made from something else, say....like a file? The only reason I asked is, the tapered end looks as if in might be the tang of a file that's been reshaped.
