God's country!

Post by dewman »

I thought I'd share a photo I took last spring of a beautiful paint horse in the pasture below our house. We live on the hill, in the trees to the right of the horse. The mountain in the background is Packer John Mt. The elevation where our house is is about 3,300 ft. Packer John is about 8,000'. No....the horse doesn't belong to us, nor does the pasture. ATV's require much less maintenance and NO VET BILLS!

They don't bite either.. ::disgust::

That is a great picture Dewman, thanks for sharing with this flatlander down south. I live where 69 feet is considered very high and humidity averages 90% at 6:00 am in the morning so the visual of altitude makes me ponder of cool and dry...Ahhh..

Dewman that is spectacular scenery. When I retire I want to see Idaho. Probably great trout fishing too.

It kind of looks like the place where I grew up in the mountains of Southern Oregon. We had more evergreen trees though. We were at the 4,000' level.
