That and I really like that saber ground main. Another feature on a knife I'm a sucker for.

I usually have an 804 in my pocket when working in my shop!
Very useful pattern!!
How long is that CV 836?

The 836 is 3-9/16" closed.
I carried a 233 for a long time but have switched over to the 863. Best darn knife for opening cardboard boxes. I do have an 804 with the tang stamp ground off that I carry occasionally.

Re: Schrade Walden 837
Been cleaning knives lately and found this old Schrade whittler that I'd forgot I had. I don't know a lot about Schrade but remember buying because it's a whittler and I like the saber ground master blade. I think it's an 837 pattern? Don't recall seeing another of this pattern, and not many pictures even here. Is it uncommon, or have I just not been paying attention?

I have the 837 in the OP and it looks as though yours is the same knife.
