Schrade Cut Co. Bare end Jack

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Post by Hak1911 »

Here she is
Scored this SchradeCutCo a few days back.
Brown bone with three Brass Pins, 1/2stops,great snap and It makes me smile for 60$
That's not bad.

Oddly I have shown it to three non knife people and they all said "Case?"... ::dang::
To which is said "that ain't now Case...! I ain't rich"
It's a working mans pocket razor .

I would love to know a pattern number if anyone knows it.

Nice one Hak! It looks a lot like the 2 blade version that I have. I believe mine is a 2253 and it is 3-1/4" long. So I suspect you'rs may be a 1253. Price and Zelesky lists a 1253 & a 1253-Ch in the bone stag. Not sure what the Ch is?

Here's the one I have.

I think that the "CH" was used for knives that had a chain attached to the handle.
