Parker Frost with Schrade blade

I've always been a Case guy, so forgive me ... I'm branching out. This Parker Frost USA knife has a Schrade blade (main clip blade says Parker Frost on one side & Schrade on the other). I have a few Parker USA knives which I've always liked; but never had any noteworthy Schrades, other than a cheap unimpressive old timer with plastic sides many years ago.

Can someone fill me in on the background between Parker and Schrade ? And if I'm not wearing out my welcome, USA Parker vs. USA Parker Frost ? Thanks guys -

I only remember enough details for the short version and I do not remember everything exactly correct, but here goes.

Around the time these were made case was pretty much the only manufacturer who did bone handles as standard, collectors wanted some more options and parker frost teamed up with schrade to make a set of bone handle knives, I think it was a stockman, trapper and muskrat. The problem was schrade was not supposed to stamp their name on the knives and consumers were a bit put off to pay so much for what were essentially standard schrades with bone handles. The knives ended up selling much cheaper than their intended price. I know there's a thread on bladeforums with every little detail about all this and that thread may have been linked here as well. This knife has a different bone color than the ones I recall seeing, it should be a reddish brown. But again I don't know anywhere near every detail.

Parker Frost Preferred Series by Schrade. Some of the nicer SFO's Parker and or Frost had made.

Stockman, double/ single blade trappers and a muskrat.

Yes those stories about Parker are quite illuminating about the industry over several decades that I've read.

I don't know the details like the others here do... but I've got a Johnny Muskrat and a Mink. The Mink is the Preferred Stock Series bone scales.
