For Dog Lovers Only

Post by The Texas Tank »

I had to work from home today and happened to catch this picture of my black lab Tank. He is such a sweety pie.

He has terminal cancer (hemangiosarcoma). He had a large tumor removed along with his spleen the first week of January. He was given 2 to 4 months to live but we are plugging along in month 8. I hope he makes a liar out of them. So far they are scratching their heads up at Texas A&M Medical college on him. He has also had both back ACL's repaired by surgery and two bouts of encephalitis one of which almost killed him. The boy has cost me over $25k but worth every cent. I cherish every day he is around.

Tank

Sandie,

I'm really sorry to hear that Tank is sick. Lost my English Springer Spaniel, Roscoe, almost three years ago. He had cancer of the spleen, and his prognosis was poor. Had to have him put to sleep because it was too hard knowing that he was suffering. Toughest thing I ever had to do. I waited about a year, and got Maya, another Eng. Springer Spaniel. She is really a super dog, and has a lot of traits just like Roscoe.
RIP Johnnie Rotten

So far, so good...So What!!
