Can anyone please help I'd like to start liquidating some of my dad's stuff... Ive been able to find out everything but the value of this 1970s Anton wingen jr gravity aka paratrooper knife.. Thanks for any input

It sounds as though you are not in possession of books that contain knife values so this is what I would do. Go to eBay. Do a search for that manufacturer, both sold, and currently up for sale. Look at the prices buyers paid for, and sellers are asking for. If you can find any information, that will give you a general idea of it's value.

Remember, "Value" is subjective. What an item is worth is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. You might find 10 people that will pay $50 for something, but the 11th guy wants one real bad and he's willing to pay $100 for that item. If you list that knife for sale, the price you get for it depends on who see's it and when.

I believe the Ops knife is older than the seventies, at any rate I recently sold a mint one like it for $150.00.

Welcome to AAPK Denise. Thats a nice knife. Did your dad have more knives? If so could you post pics of them also.

The knife in the ebay link is a "Springer" and is not the same pattern as O.P. knife.
It would be helpful to see more pics of O.P. knife (both sides & closed).

I am interested in buying collections. You need to be very analytical in this. If you sell on eBay there are fees and time involved. If you get a store on AAPK or similar there are still fees and likely more time involved. If you sell to someone like me you will need to figure on recovering less than full retail value but time isn't much of a factor.
What you will need to start is an inventory and maybe a group photo or two or three. You can send me a personal message (PM).
