Real Puma?

Hi,All:
I have this neat little lock open folder, that fits the hand, and pocket so nice. I've have had it quite a while, and think that I acquired it at a gun show in Florida. I don't remember, what or when I swapped for it, but figured at the time that it was a very neat fake. and judge it on it's merits alone. The knife is made of Stainless steel. the single blade is 2" long, the knife is 4 7/8" overall open. The inlaid gold medallion on one side of the handle reads PUMAIP, the inscriptions on the left side of the blade Has a PUMA emblem etched on it showing a puma's head in a diamond shaped emblem, and the blade has the following etched on it, 4 Star mini, stainless, 280730, 106/RC. Does anyone have information on this little Knife?

That's a sweet little knife and a genuine Puma. I know they have been making that particular knife for at least 20 years and believe it is still current production. Great little but sturdy knife that is very pocket-able. Hopefully someone that knows Puma knives will have more info.

Definitely a real Puma;I have one just like it along with it's bigger brother that has paper Micarta handles plus a few other Pumas. Great little knife.

I have read that Puma has been selling some contract knives for about the last 40 years. Even some of their famous stag lockback folders might have been made by Anton Wingen Jr.
The O.P. knife is a real Puma product, but was it made by Puma ? Pretty well impossible to know unless you are a Puma employee.
