Info requested on PAL knife
Just recently did a trip to Alaska and picked up a couple of folders and some other stuff that I'll try and post. Any info about these would be greatly appreciated. These are in as found condition. The next one is PAL Cutlery Co., Made in U.S.A.

Re: Info requested on PAL knife
That one fits the HOK description, honest old knife! I like it!
For some reason Pal doesn't seem to get a lot of attention, they have an interesting history and they were last manufactured in the early 50s. Probably wont find many counterfeit Pals too worry about compared to other more popular brands. History says Pal Cutlery Company bought Remington's knife making operation.
I don't see many here in Florida, I lucked up and found 2 at a flea market a week or so ago, one was a bone handled knife and the other, a camp/scout knife, has handles like the one you have shown today. I'm not sure what material they are, they don't seem to have shrunk like some of the materials did. Yours may be bone.
Neither of my latest two have a shield, only tang stamped.

Re: Info requested on PAL knife
Pal Cutlery Co. 1945-1953. That name was originally a trademark of Utica Knife & Razor. First used in 1924. In 1940, PAL bought the cutlery division of Remington Arms. They closed in 1953. (Goins).
