Large Cattaraugus? Please help...

So, I got this large knife in today. Closed, it measures 4 1/4 inches long. Fully opened, it is 7 inches long. Blade measures 3 1/8 inches from base of tang to sheep foot tip. So, tang is stamped Cattaraugus Cutlery Co, Little Valley NY. I couldn't find a pattern number. Is the knife legit? Original? A blade transplant into another body? It's a beautiful frame with brass liners and a good looking blade. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Roger. That was my gut feeling. Wish I knew what that frame was from. The bone scales are in great condition. I might just carry this one for my "user."
