Case 5172 Bulldog knife, no XX stamping?

Post by SlingBlade »

I have this Case 5172 Bulldog folder. I cannot find any XX stamping on the tang under CASE. Even with a jewelers loupe looking at the blade in different positions I still can't find anything. I know the bolster might hide some of it, but you should be at least be able to see something. What do you guys think? Thanks!

It is typical on the XX stamped 5172's that the XX is hidden by the bolster.
