case .75 cent knife

Post by olderdogs1 »

Aunt Pearl may hold the record for the most fakes at one time. Glad she is not my aunt, or uncle ::td::

I’m confused, is this a brand? Did someone rip this off from Case? Never heard of Case 75 cents.

Case never made a .75 cent knife. Most collectors are if the opinion that the 25 cent knife was the only one made in the Tested era and an authentic one is a bone handled one bolster knife. So all of these are fake.
I believe Jim Parker had some made in Germany with wood handles at a later date but those are not considered authentic either.
These fakes crop up every so often but this is the biggest bunch I have seen from one seller. Sad that folks buy them and think they are getting a prize.

Thank you Tom, I was unaware of this scam. This looks like a typical Camillus older celluloid. Noting about it says Case, except the fake tang stamp.
