Ka-bar Swing Guard
Hello all
I recently aquired an old swing guard that I was wondering just how old it is. Someone buffed it but spring is strong, stamp is good, stag is all intact, just love this old workhorse. Thanks for any help.

Hi Dan, your knife was made between 1943 and about 1948 or 49. Mark then changed to KA-BAR over USA for a few years and to Kabar italicized lower case letters in 1952. Most likely just post war, are the bolsters steel or nickel?

Nice knives, chorizotaco.
Here's one, a little newer than yours with plastic covers.
