Does anyone have any information on a knifemaker named J. L. Haynes? I have a skinner style fixed blade made by him in 1990. I kind of like the way it feels in the hand and it appears to be good workmanship. Blade is stainless and handles are wood. Will send pic if any interest. Thanks.

haynes skinner
The knife measures about 8 3/8" with blade length of 3 1/2", leaving a long handle that fits even a large hand. Wood is very dark, too dark to show any figure in my pics. I would like to know anything at all about this maker. I have only seen a couple of his knives on eBay and they modern, what I would call urban defense knives. I would appreciate any help.

A nice upswept skinner. The "pins" appear to Loveless Fasteners. They are solid stainless steel in the center and brass or copper nuts. So, when they are ground down there will be a circle of silver with a circle of brass or copper around that. Makes a nice effect. Any combination of screws and nuts can be used for desired effects.
