Any info on this?

Post by OSCAR »

I recently bought a knife I never heard of and not finding any info on it. Mint condition “Bargeon” French made. Seller said it’s from 1950’s. Fires very hard, and not a mark on it. Button is square. Thanks. -Oscar

Bargeon autos were made until at least the 1970s.
They are nice knives. They were made in 3 sizes.

Thanks Bill. They must be pretty obscure. Except for what the seller has told me, your reply is the only info I got. Prior to this purchase, I never heard of Bargeon.

Oscar, There not terribly obscure but are desirable. Here’s a link where you might find some more examples and info.

Thanks Knfcollector. I’ve visited the link and I am impressed. That’s one awesome collection.
The French knife there says Begon as mine is stamped Bargeon, but it looks like it is the same knife. Perhaps a different model by the same manufacturer? I especially liked the Spanish
Knives in the collection. I’d imagine they are near impossible to find. Thanks again. Oscar

That’s my site and I had no idea I had left the Bargeon knives off. I used to have them on my old geocities site.
