Old Rodgers-Cutlers to her Majesty

Here is a really nice and really old Rogers-Cutlers to Her Majesty knife. Initially I thought this was a single bladed knife but upon further inspection I looks like it had 2 short blades that had been cut off. At first I thought it was a nice slot for the single blade but if you notice it has small notches in the handle on each side. Beautiful old knife 1837-before 1890. Comments are welcomed!

Your knife is a whittler, missing both secondary blades. There are still quite a few "Her Majesty" knives 'out there' that have been used but will all blades present and close to full. Winning bid prices are often quite reasonable. Over time you could build a very fine collection of Jos Rodgers & Son's Her Majesty pocket knives.
