Case Tested Canoe
Anyone else see this one? No Red bone Tested Canoes and it's not Tested era jigging. It has 8 bids.

The bolsters don't look right to me. They look s little elongated, which is to say too long.

Re: Case Tested Canoe
I defer to the experts, but at a minimum, it looks to me like the handles scales have been replaced. Doesn't look like Case jigging and the shield inlay has some really big gaps. Might be the picture, but the shield doesn't even look a symmetric oval.

Re: Case Tested Canoe
Complete garbage....
The cardinal rule on this one is...Case NEVER made a 62131 bone handled canoe until late 1964...a very few made with the XX stamp (quite rare)...then common starting with the USA stamp.
So there were no 62131's in the Tested or earlier stamps, ultra rare in the XX stamp.

At least they didn't etch this one with the Indian in the canoe. Still a complete fake.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Case Tested Canoe
Knives like this keep case prices low and new collectors out. Its really terrible that people do this. what does it say about us when we make fakes etc... Not good for collecting in general. But education is powerful...
Thanks, DC
