Beer Scout...Not.
I have just over 50 GEC knives; however, I can't bring myself to shell out the money, for the crazy prices of a Beer Scout...so I made myself one, from an old Camco. Put camel bone on it, a bail from an old Tl-29 and made it an EO. Put a "Beer" shield on...so I don't get sued by the BSA. I have almost no use for a bottle opener...Shiner is twist-off...but; I'll be ready if I'm ever in the company of hipster folk.

Doc, I can't figure if you are clever or devious but you turned out a cool little knife. Camel bone looks good.

That knife is a million times better, Very nice work indeed, It just has the look of a beer scout along with nice aging to boot. Kudos!

Very nice Doc!
The aged look of your knife makes it more desirable to me than the GEC version.
I agree about the pattern in general, probably not one I would carry unless I anticipated needing a screwdriver.
But I would carry yours because its cool and has character!

I agree...your "Beer Scout" is much nicer than the original GEC version IMHO. The beer bottle shield is just way too cool
and I love the camel bone...classy touch.

Way cool, and creative and beats the GEC version. I really like the camel bone. You could have told me it was mammoth ivory. Doc, you are a genius!
