Birds and fishing lure
Birds and fishing lure
Well here is little work ive been doung but as you can see i can not paint...
Still waiting for some fishing lure material from china to finish...(eyes , scales )
i did not use the Victorinox in my whittling...its there just for size reference...i did use the old timer 340T on the birds and lure...sometimes I use whittling fixed blade knives but i like to be traditional old time whittler , just an old pocket knife most the time...no power tools.

The birds are exceptional. Hope you will be painting them and then show us.
Re: Birds and fishing lure
Thanks guys , no i dont paint birds and the only fishing lure i did... Well take a look how bad looks like...i will finish the lures with fishing lures stickesr...see if work...but i have been waiting for 2 months.... That sucks when you buy stuff from china
Re: Birds and fishing lure
The birds are wonderful and the fishing lure is going to be a winner. Had a friend years ago that used to whittle little mice fishing lures. Used a rubber band for the tail. He caught a lot of fish with his creations. I really like the smooth, finished look of your birds. I used to use a Schrade 440 workmate (Chinese) and love the choice of blades and size. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
Re: Birds and fishing lure
Most the time i use the 2 small blades...the large blade is way to big for my small birds...

My fishing partners girl friend made these for me. I feed hummers all summer and really like to ice fish.
