WTB / WTT for a Japanese sword

After repairing an authentic Japanese sword, I have been looking for one to buy or trade for.
Any help would be helpful

There are 'junk' military Japanese swords - worth next to nothing, while a good quality modern Japanese katana will cost you several thousand dollars. If an antique, by a noted maker, and regarded highly, price may begin at 10's of thousands of dollars, and upwards. You really need to be more specific on the kind of sword you want. AND you need to be knowledgeable - antique swords? - there are probably 3 people in this country who can accurately appraise them. 'Japanese "looking" swords, on the other hand, can be readily purchased from various sellers on the internet - Kult of Athena, - comes to mind. Stainless swords, - NO - there are NO STAINLESS SWORDS - there are only stainless 'sword-like objects'. They are for display only. Good luck in your quest.

I found a Katana online made of 1095 high carbon steel (T10) Clay Tempered
Beautiful wood Scabbard
Not an original Japanese sword but it is for display more than functionality

Sounds like you made a good choice, - if you're searching the web for a 'using' sword, look for the term - 'battle ready' - there are also 'stage swords' - that shouldn't be used for any cutting. Stainless swords are strictly 'wall hangers' - they are very susceptible to to breaking during use, which can be catastrophic. If you're going to do any cutting, look up some instructional books or videos. Be informed, be safe, be careful.

I’ve done a lot of research of the different grades and feel the Katana I selected will do just fine for my needs,
I’ll post pictures of it and review when it arrives
