Bob, not only is the shield upside down, but I don't believe that Case ever put shields on MOP knives, at least I have never seen one with a shield.

Case has put shields on pearl handle covers - the ones I’ve seen were inlet into the pearl, not sitting on top like the OP knife. And they were modern made knives, not old ones. I think that one is a total frankenknife.
