Sell similar from sold item not working

Hi.
When I select sell similar from a sold item, the new item posts as already sold.
Am i doing something wrong here, or is there some way around this?

I suspect you are not changing quantity available for sale to be >= 1 ... The sell similar feature will pull the quantity available for sale from a sold listing as 0.
