Add Attraction to Buck knives!!!

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Add Attraction to Buck knives!!!

Post by mastiff »

I just never liked Buck knives...lol...no Bling just all business, no attraction what so ever....then one day I found one really abused, blade all there but all scratched up...frame banged up and slabs broken....hmmm..
Let's add Bling and some wow factor...lol...
So here we went, bits a file work, fancy slabs and a bit sanding and buffing!
And here you go...lol...now I own about 8 of these Buck knives!!!

Interesting work, mastiff!
You chose one with a lot of meat to whittle away, a prime candidate for file work. ::tu::
Can you share with us how you attached the new handle material and what is the red base under the handle?

The red spacer is fiber spacer material from Texas knife maker supplies ...the handle material is drilled many times ( Swiss cheese ) with a small drill bit, as is the matching handle material...commercial strength epoxy is the used for a permanent bond!!
This will never come apart...lol...
I tried that...
