Japanese "AS" Brand Knives.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

This pocket knife was just one in a large group/lot of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT purchase the group/lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it turned out to be a keeper. It's an AS, single blade, single tool, two tang stamps, 2 5/8" closed, all metal, pocket knife. The main blade tang stamp reads, "AS - STAIN - LESS - JAPAN." The tool tang stamp reads, "DES. - PAT. - PEND." It is in EXCELLENT condition. It needed no cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is. The last picture shows a different knife with a "cleaner" version of the tang stamp. It's NOT My Picture, It's NOT My Knife.

This key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife arrived in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did turn out to be a keeper. It will be added to my general, foreign made, pocket knife collection. It is an AS, one blade, one tool (a file), one tang stamp, 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" closed (not including the loop or ring), all metal, key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade back tang stamp says, "AS (left side, next to) STAINLESS (over) STEEL (over) JAPAN" It is in EXCELLENT condition. It needed NO cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.
