Schrade BSA Etch Blade

Post by johns7076 »

Has anyone ever seen a Schrade auto with an etch blade with "BSA logo, Boy Scouts of America"? A few years ago one popped up on ebay, wasn't there long and came down quickly. Beautiful knife. Have never seen one before or since. Searched everywhere for a reference to one and can't find. It was a swing guard and absolutely mint. A real mystery.

Yes , there is a boy and girls scout automatic knife made by Schrade…. However, I’ve never seen a swinguard version.

My memory is maybe not so good, maybe not a swing guard.

Maybe this ?
Presto George Schrade Sportsman Automatic Knife – Boy Scouts of America Model

If you google it you can find posts and pics and references to it (boy and girl scout, with a mention that it may have been official girl scout for a year -- which makes me laugh... "hey you, buy the cookies! - click" )

Switch blades from some of the companies were originally advertised as being friendly to ladies' fingernails.
