LB3

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

LB3

Post by JonTerry »

Hi guys,

A simple post here, I'm reaching out to all you guys in the USA to keep an eye out for a LB3 for myself, short of the "I'm never gunna find a LB4" this will complete my Lockback collection of the LB series.

Thanks in advance, feel free to message me if you see any around that are up for grabs, or maybe you have one you want to let go ?

Cheers

JT

Am I to understand that the U.S. version of Ebay is not available in U.K.? Otherwise the OT line of lockbacks might also interest you. Part of the joy of collecting is the hunt and most knives of that recent era show up for you sooner or later. If the LB3 is that little guy with a shackle, they are on Ebay all the time.

Correct mate,

I can browse but not buy with Ebay UK, I am collecting OT's as well but would love to finish my LB range one day.

The one with the Shackle is the LB1 & 2 , the LB2 is the Uncle Henry version which I already have, the LB3 is bigger than this but smaller than a LB5

Now a LB4 I have learned is pure hen teeth..........

Oh... I don't know those knives; not my cuppa, as someone used to say. Good luck with your search. I am not in a good spot to do it myself, but I know a fellow from NZ and another from OZ who have established a friend in U.S. who will take care of such things.
