Completely a Mystery to Me Knife - Help Needed

Looks like an Imperial to me.

I do not know who made it. It does not appear to have shell handles, so if it is an Imperial it is near 100 years old. I wanted to say Camco, (just a wild guess) but the shape of the blade throws me off. Either it has been reshaped, or it is one that I am unfamiliar with.

I think its a Hammer. Pre war. Afterwards i dont think they used as much brass pins. I have a few similar fobs, both Imperial and Hammer, though they're all shell handled.

Probably an Imperial (Hammer Brand, same thing), the sort of cut off top of the spear is often seen on Imperial made knives. Here are a couple of examples, an IKCo marked and an Imperial:

The snap is excellent on every part of the piece and the pins are brass and the inner liner is all brass. The only thing that is stainless are the blades and the bolsters. The fob is also stainless. I'm not sure what kind of plastic the handle is made out of. I think it's safe to say that it is definitely not shell.

Kim, when he said shell handles he wasn’t talking about the handle material. Those old knives have what is called a “shell handle” because it’s hollow. Rather than using a solid handle material they used hollow handle material. You can tell by looking at the spine of the knife and seeing that there is an extra liner there, that’s part of the shell. Hope this helps. You might try looking up what a “shell handle knife is” you can probably get a better description than I just gave. You can tell by the weight. Shell handled knives always seem a bit too lite too.

Does the knife in the OP have shell handles? Doesn't look like it. I had a knife very similar to this made by Wadsworth. Here is something close on eBay. They don't list the length or maker. Many times, a knife has a blade etch instead of a tang stamp. They wear off.

This is an online auction that isn't too far from me. There are about 10 knives very similar to the knife in the OP. Colonial, German, unmarked. A lot of different makers of this pattern.
