Knife id and possible value

Post by kjtrap+52 »

I have a Keen Kutter automatic knife with 3 pat. dates. I would like to know if someone can give me some information and a possible value for this knife. My father-in-law was an avid Keen Kutter collector. He passed about 12 years ago and I just discovered this knife in his collection.

Bill wouldn't that be a Schrade Cut Co knife? I think those are Schrade patents. I know the later George Schrade autos very closely mimicked the Schrade Cut co models, so much so that there was a court battle over it. Nice example, they're quite valuable.

Eric- you are absolutely correct that these knives were contracted to Schrade Cut Co., rather that George Schrade. My mistake.
George did a lot of contract work. Schrade Cut Co. didn't do as much.
