Beautiful, both the knife and the sheath! Is there a specific function for the unique structure of the spinal column, or is it simply for visual appeal?
I collect cases and Japanese-made knives. The 1717 angel number is encouraging you to cut the ties with someone.

That slight depression in the spine of the knife is designed to give you a place to put your thumb when using the knife for cutting.
