Woodcarvers sign

Post by galvanic1882 »

I picked this up at a flea market yesterday. It’s 4’ long by 10”. Looks to have been carved from one piece of a board. Any info about the carver would be great. A name is carved on the piece, think it’s C A Michaelson??

Very nice relief carved sign. The Woodcarvers Assn is the publisher of Chip Chats magazine. They have members from all over the US and are based in Ohio. There was a museum in Monument Colorado at one time I wonder if it came from there?
