George Washington...1932 Camillus knife

Post by raincrowe »

Looking in my collection of small knives I found some that might be of some interest... 1) A Camillus signed in blue ink on the handle George Washington
Tang is stamped three line..... Camillus Cutlery Co Camillus NY... I have heard this knife was made in 1932 to commenmorate George Washington
200th birthday given by his mother for his 15th birthday....I've heard they were other replicas knives out there also but haven't seen them...
I heard the orginal knife is on display at Alexandria- Washington Masonic Lodge No.22 in Alexandria Virginia....It's closed length is 3 inches it's handle
appears to be mother-of-pearl!!
I would like to hear about or see others who have interest these knives!! Thanks Again ::tu:: ::tu::

Robeson also made one, I believe it is more historically correct.

Plus there are 8 pages of miscellaneous posts on many brands of George Washington commemorative pocket knives, even a sweet Winchester posted by knifeaholic. 😉
