Re: Bent Blade
The answer is Yes. The process is called "crinking". It is a bit dangerous, and you have to go slow and careful. You can easily break a blade if you are too aggressive. I've straightened many blades this way and have had them break maybe 5 percent of the time. Here's a link that you might find useful:

Re: Bent Blade
Enuf, I tried the "crinking method" for a blade bent very similar to yours. It helped
just a little. Hopefully yours will do better!
( I knew it was bent when I bought it. I had hoped I could fix it )

I think I am going to pass on working on it - looking at be better it has really been stressed. I am learning stuff to look for and stuff not to do too.

Re: Bent Blade
Crinking only refers to bending the blade at the tang where the steel has been softened. The blade tips are full hardness so normally if you try to bend it there you'll break it. I'd say whoever made that blade didn't harden it fully or it would have snapped when bent like that so you may be able to bend it back with hammer taps on a hard surface. Still a gamble though as the steel is now quite stressed.

Re: Bent Blade
That shield logo reminds me of some Pakistani-made knives that I have seen. Many have lower-carbon steel blades that are poorly heat treated (or poorly heat treatable!).
It is very likely that you can straighten it.
Plus, if you want to learn to do some repairs, it would be a great knife to take apart and learn on, as there is really no way to lower it's value.
Just a thought.
