That was the stamp of Carl Jordan Sohne, Solingen c 1888-1960, according to an old post by (now deceased) Roland Procter, aka Kootenay Joe. Before he passed he was one of our resident resources for German tang stamps.

Awesome, I will have to document my journey on this one. I have gone so far as to email the folks at Messer Maurer to find this info.
