Buck Kalinga copy?

I got this knife when my FIL passed in 2019. I do know it was made in the early 70’s from a sawmill wheel blade by a local guy in Broken Bow, Ok where we are from, . This isn’t the original scabbard. I couldn’t find the original. It’s quite heavy duty with the blade being around 3/16. Looks like they were going for the Kalinga style.

Great looking, very formidable knife. I like the 9 handle pins. What is the overall length and any idea what the handle material is?

10.5 inches, and I don’t know the wood type.

Handle looks like dymondwood, a laminated prob birch material. Pretty durable and not hard to work. Think Buck Kalingas used same handle material.
