Question for the history buffs

Post by lespaulpal »

Ive seen on stiletto-italiano/com a little piece on the introduction to swivels. states late 50's early 60's.
My question, does anyone know when latama started using the swivel? 50s/60s or was it later in time, like walt classic era?

Personally I don't know when Latama joined that movement, LPP, but I'm certain others will so keep checking this thread for answers.
Good question, man! ::tu::

You could try asking Latama directly when they first started using the swivel bolster. They have a message feature on their website. Although the owners are different today than they were in the 50's and 60's, If anyone knows Latama history best, I would assume it's Latama.

The swivel bolster came about with the introduction of the Latama square button stiletto. It was designed by craftsmen for Latama. Other makers adapted it afterward.

I believe around 1957. Can't get to my library to confirm.
