What the Heck Did I Just Buy? Delrin H194

I picked up a Slim Trapper in jigged delrin and a tang stamp of (1st line) HERITAGE (2nd line) SCHRADE+ (3rd line) U.S.A.; reverse is stamped H194. No shield.
I paid an OK price - plan to carry and use, not as an investment. Is this an "end of days" knife assembled in the factory or offshore from leftover parts that SMKW bought?
Thank You!

I would call it end-of-days. The Heritage folding knives had smooth genuine bone covers.

I am OK with that and the seller had more than 1 in stock, which is a pretty strong hint that its not a rare, one of a kind, bargain
P.S. The seller did not mis-represent it.

Do not know much about the Heritage Collection - but I asked the internet and Copilot if they did and Copilot "states" they did make a Heritage Collection in Delrin - in Sawcut - this doesn't look like Sawcut to me -
Did Schrade Knives Make a Heritage Collection in Delrin Handle Material ~ ?
Copilot ~ Answer
Yes, Schrade did produce a Heritage Collection with Delrin handle material
. Delrin, also known by Schrade as "Saw Cut Delrin" or "Staglon," was used for some of their knife handles
. This material is known for its durability and lightweight properties, making it a popular choice for pocket knives
. Too be taken with a Grain of Salt ~

Sagebrush,
I have a note from Dave Swinden from June 1996 that mentions a new set of Heritage knives all stamped with the HNNN and the H194 is one of them. I'm looking for more info and will post the memo.
Back soon
Larry

that's all very interesting "thanks for sharing" ~ I still have a lot to learn about Schrade for I know very little about them, even though I've had more than a few "old timers" and even an Uncle Henry ~ have a wonderful day ~

Because I do not want it to seem I am accusing the seller of impropriety...
It is a safe bet that the knife was assembled after the original Heritage run, probably at or after the end of Camillus' existence. The seller did not indicate it is anything special, only noted the tang stamps, model, and handle material.
I bought it for what I think is a fair price for a user in what appears to be very good condition (although knife prices shot up as much as ammo in the last few years). It also appeals to me visually, a consideration since I tend to carry and use my pocket knives daily.
A stainless knife won't require as much care as my carbon pocket knives and hopefully I will have better luck with the Schrade stainless than I have with Case SS, which seems to dull if you wave it through the air.
Thank you all for your responses and information!

There were more than one type of Heritage branded, special edition knives and sets that Schrade made over the years. Some with bone scales and some with delrin. The 1997 Heritage set is shown below in it's wooden display, which includes the H-194. All 194s (Old Timers and such) were single blade knives. Your knife is modeled after the Old Timer 94OT, with two blades. I can't say where the scales came from. The two blade, 4 1/8" trapper with yellow scales is a H-296. I managed to collect all of these except the fixed blade, stag handled knife.
You have a really nice edc/parts/end of days Schrade knife there. Congrats!

Whelp, its not exactly the knife I bought. The seller grabbed one of the batch of as-new knives they are selling for pics, which happened to be the one with the heritage blade. I received a non-Chinese delrin Schrade + Trapper, which was the goal.

You have a great knife with a great ancestry. If I didn't already have knives coming out of my ears, I'd like to have one like yours. It's collector value may not be high, but it's a unique Schrade that's really nice. Enjoy!
