Latama Italy

Post by johns7076 »

Picked this jewel up over the weekend at an antique gun show. I believe it is late 1940s or early 1950s. Perhaps someone can confirm. Works perfectly.

Great looking knife, keep it original. It was made in a short window between 1951 and 1953/54 conservatively speaking. Flat guards would have been made the very late 40s into the early 50s. Latama ceased importation at the onslaught of a soft switchblade ban being enforced in NYC in 1953 that was formalized in 1954, from what I read.

Let me know if you sell that one, please hold onto it if you intend to, no pressure.

They do appear to be blonde horn with a lot of mellow age.
