Germany "WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS" Knives.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

Yesterday morning, my trip to the post office produced this multi tool, SCOUT KNIFE. It becomes my first example to be posted under this new topic or thread. It also became the first example, of this particular pattern or style, to be added to my "foreign born" pocket knife accumulation. It is a WERWOLF, one blade, five tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener with screwdriver AND a PREST-O-LIGHT key, a can opener, and a punch or awl), one tang stamp, 3 3/4" closed (not including the bail), scouting or camping, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp (VERY FAINT) says, "WERWOLF (over) CUTL. WORKS (over) GERMANY" The shield says, "SCOUT KNIFE" The main blade has a WEAK half stop. The main blade has a GOOD opening snap. The main blade has a GOOD closing snap. The tools open and close with no issues. The punch or awl is copper colored on the back. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures, they do NOT do this pocket knife any justice, and here it is.

I have never seen that brand. What a choice find! A lovely old Scout knife, with the light key!
Where on earth did you find this?

While searching for information on my WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS "SCOUT KNIFE" pocket knife,
I found this instead. It is a WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS, "HIKENIFE." It evidently sold in 2020.
Unlike my WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS "SCOUT KNIFE", this WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS "HIKENIFE"
does NOT have a PREST-O-LIGHT key.

While searching for a little more information on my WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS "SCOUT KNIFE" pocket knife,
I found this instead. It is another WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS, "SCOUT KNIFE" pocket knife. It evidently sold
around 2014. And like my WERWOLF CUTLERY WORKS "SCOUT KNIFE" pocket knife, this WERWOLF CUTLERY
WORKS "SCOUT KNIFE" pocket knife DOES HAVE a PREST-O-LIGHT key.
