Flylock

Post by knife-nut »

I have a double flylock with beautiful full blades. Imitation tortoise handles that are decomposed. What choices do i have on rehandling it? Did they make any with mother of pearl?

On Bill DeShivs website it says that he works on flylock switchblades. I would contact him. billdeshivs.com. He's also a member here.

You should pull the scales off as soon as possible to prevent further damage. There are a few folks that make and replace scales. Good advice to contact Bill DeShives. Pearl would be dandy but pricey and a health hazard for the person making em. I would be interested to know if you find someone willing to make em. Good luck. Nice knife worth restoration.
You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.

Nature abhors a vacuum, me I hate a dull knife.
