Grind the kick down just a bit at a time checking height of blade.misterfix46+ wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 12:52 pm i have a nice small a.wingen leverlock. the blade doesnt sit down in the well far enough. just the tip sticks up but just enough to make it a problem. is there anyone here who does excellent work who would address this issue for me? if so please let me know where to send it. thanks in advance for any help i may get..

Re: leverlock problem
thanks for your quick response. i have been a collector for 50 years but i have never worked on a knife in all those years. this one is so nice that i would almost be afraid to make it my first patient. but i do have another older buck 110 with the same problem. i will try my hand on that one to see how i do. i have a nice little shapleigh hdw. co double blade that neither blade wants to lock up properly. do you know if that is going to be a big problem to address? thanks again for your advice, i do appreciate it.
Re: leverlock problem
I'm not sure grinding the kick down would help on an auto like this. It sounds more like a blade-peek issue, which is a whole different ball of wax.
Bill DeShivs is definitely the guy to chat with for work on switchblades.
