Imperial USA hobo-camp knife

Post by Ja-sta1959 »

Good morning I came across a hobo knife with the imperial with the crown on top under that is stainless then almost hidden is USA It is red and comes apart to separate the fork and spoon I am trying to date the knife with no luck ( have not been able to find a tang stamp or knife that looks like this) is anyone familiar with this knife and possible time frame? Thanks in advance for any help.

Versions of that stamp having the crown were estimated to be in use from 1946 to 1988. An eBay search for “Imperial Hobo Camp Slot Knife” will find knives having similar construction (Imperial slot knives having red plastic covers with rounded rivet pins).
